For our first day in Bosnia Hercegovina, we took a day trip to Blagaj (only 10 kilometres from Mostar)
It is quite the quaint little town and as the weather was lovely when we went it was a great day for photos and sightseeing!  We went to the river, a beautiful garden, a muslim cemetary and a muslim monastery...
We also climbed up a huge mountain to see an old fortress...
Twas a busy day...
In the evening we took the last bus back to Mostar and interestingly, the bus driver spoke German, as he had lived in Germany for 10 years during the war and his companion spoke both Italian and German...he had lived in Bardi for 7 years, a town which is a half hour drive from my dad's village!
What a small world!?
