Hello from Poland
Our jackets are open and I have regained feeling in my body...lovely...
We arrived after a very very long journey via buses from Vilnius...we travelled with Patrick since he was going in the same direction...
The Polish currency is the Zloty, $1 CDN is 2.54 Zloty
Prices here aren't bad, but definitely not as inexpensive as I was expecting...
We decided to skip the capital, Warsaw, as a vast majority of it was bombed during the war, and then rebuilt...everyone seemed to think it wasn't very exciting to go visit...
We wandered around Krakow a great deal on our first day and there is a lot to see! And tons of tourists!
We went to the castle, the old Jewish district, the market, really all over...
We went to a crazy restaurant that's popular with young'uns and foreigners here and it was disgusting portions! Sam's meal was pricey but considering the obscene amount of food I could understand the price...
Krakow is a really lovely city with lot's to do, but holy tourists!
Cheers
