I decided to make a really productive day during my trip and so I did a tour to the Mekong Delta...which is about 2 hrs from Ho Chi Minh...
We were driven in a bus and then took a boat to see people make coconut candy...which was actually really good! It was kind of a cool process to watch..
Then we went to a honey bee farm and had honey wine and kumquats...I put some of the fruit on my numerous insect bites, but apparently that doesn`t help much...
Then we went for lunch on Turtle Island...it was basic but really good and it was the first local food in days that didn`t turn my stomach completely...I don`t know about you guys, but I prefer it when food doesn`t turn my stomach...:p
We then proceeded to Unicorn Island [apparently there`s a Pheonix island too...this is my kind of country...] to try different local fruits [jackfruit, some kind of melon, pineapple and something that I can`t pronounce...] and we watched local music and singing
An then we headed back...and guess how much everything cost [all the food, transportation, entertainment]...
$5...
What could I possibly get for that at home that would compare?!
Anyways...in the evning we went to a pub and watched the England Football match against Paraguay...I would`ve jokingly voted for Paraguay to bug Sam...but due to the fact that the pub was FULL of Brits I decided not to...I like my face the way that it is...
Cheers
