...have everyone drink copious amounts of wine!

Today our Kumuka tour begins!  We are doing a 6 week tour, from Cape Town to Nairobi!  Six weeks of camping, roughing it and glimpsing the amazing beauty of Southern and Eastern Africa!

Our tour departs from Cape Town promptly in the morning and carries us away to Stellenbosch, a university town, with a population of 220,000.  However Stellenbosch is not best known for its' academics, rather for its multitude of wineries.  To dispel all shyness among the group, we embarked on a day-long tour, with Easy Rider Wine Tours (which is found at the Stumble Inn), and we visited 4 wineries during our 'cultural' excursion.  Alas due to the frequent sampling of different wines, I cannot recall all the names of the wines that we sampled.  However, even in my mild state of inebriation, I do recall which wineries we went to: 1) Seidelberg, 2) Dieu Donne', 3) Boschendal and 4)...(um I'll find that out).

We also visited the quaint nearby town of Franschhoek for a delicious lunch!

If you are a wine connoisseur, then a South African wine tour is for you!  (Make sure to do a tour, rather than visiting the wineries in your own vehicle, because after only one winery you will probably find walking difficult, no matter how strong your alcoholic constitution may be...)
