Zihuatanejo was beautiful, the beaches are dark sand due to surround volcanos, not as picturistic as white sand beaches, but the fine sand in between my toes feels like paradise found.

I stayed a couple of nights then took the overnight bus to Acapulco, a resort town. Arrived at 5am, totally lost outside the bus terminal. I found my way through empty pre-dawn streets, and made my way to the marine warf. The hotel doors has not opened for business. So I lie on the bench for a couple of hours, looking at the horizon as the light of day gradually peeked through the moonlit sky. I check in at 8am had a short nap....In the afternoon, I walked for miles on the beaches of Acapulco. This city is THE vacation place for American Tourists in the sixties for the likes of Elvis Presly and other stars. Nowadays, it is overshadowed by the Cancun Area. Still beautiful and famous for its cliff divers, Acapulco will always be world famous.
