Just like last winter, Marmaris is already full of world travellers who are stopping over for the winter period. There's much talk of exotic and interesting places. They all sound so tantalising that it's difficult to decide where to go next year. The jury is out at the moment but we are thinking of heading West to new pastures - perhaps Sicily or beyond. One thing I am certain of is that, like so many others around us, our plans will change several times before next April. It's a case of watch this space ......

In the meantime we are getting on with the more mundane things such as cleaning the boat, scrubbing the decks etc - still the sun is shining so it's not so bad.

We had a great few days sailing when we came back from England. The weather was very kind and the sea was warm enough for a few dips, even if you needed a cup of tea to get the circulation going again (I notice today that the sea temperature here, 22 degrees is warmer than the air temperature in London today, 11 degrees, according to Google!!!)
We went across to the Greek island of Symi which was very quite now that the visitors have left. After buying our bacon and pork chops, again, we were the only tourists having a drink in the bar whilst waiting for the bus back to our bay.
We came back to the marina for the Halloween party which was great fun and then moved the boat out to anchor in the bay which gave us more privacy and peace but   restricted how far we could walk after supper!
Unfortunately my tooth ache returned and I managed to get an appointment with the dentist immediately. She is a lovely lady that we walked with last winter. She is very gentle and sorting out my problem over several visits. Only one more dose of pills and then I will be able to have a glass of wine to celebrate!
It has been good to catch up with friends from last year.
Annie and Liam, from Australia, have arrived in the marina. I'm not sure if we will watch the Rugby with them on Saturday .....or not!!!! (come on England)

Feintly Jealous of Pembury
Hi Guys,
Glad to hear you are both well, apart from the dodgy tooth! Sal and I are slowly getting used to being back in the British weather, sometimes wishing for the warmer temps of the Costa Blanca, or even the 22 degrees of Marmaris! Plans are afoot for the usual round of family Christmas celebrations, with the prospect of a quick visit to the boat, maybe beforehand, maybe just after the New Year. Sal is looking at a few openings locally in the volunteering field, so it will depend on our commitments. Loved the Halloween outfits by the way..Pete I think the nails need a trim!
kind regards, Steve n sal.

Hi Travellers
Yes I think it is better to be in Turkey as here in a rainy Holland. Sorry Brodget for your teethpain. So maybe sailing to Sicily? That is closer to England and so on. But you have to go where the wind is bringing you. Looking for your next stories.

Lots of love Ton and Corrie
