I can't believe how close I am getting to actually getting ready to go on this trip of mine. I arrived in Atlanta today around 3:30 pm east coast time. I am very happy that i get to spend a few days here before taking off to England. I am not sure if it has totally set in yet that I am really going. It's so real, it's not something I thought I would ever be able to do...and for many reasons. However I am here today and on my way! I believe this might be one of the best learning experiences and time of personal growth if I allow it. Stepping into a new culture alone and venturing off into someone else backyard... I do plan on taking full advantage of this opportunity.
I'm going to try as hard as possible to really shake any anxiety that I may have before taking off on Wednesday... but i trust that everything will and is going to be fine. But as for of right now, it's time to enjoy the good old South. My friend introduced me to this guy and she had mentioned that I am from Oregon, and his reply: "Oh that's the depressing State..." And I am just thinking, "He's has obviously never been to Eugene, it's a colorful vibrant artistic full of diversity town". Eugene has a lot going for it, if you live there or have ever been there you know what I mean.
Well this chica is going to go try and get some rest... maybe time could go bye just a little bit slower so I could gather my thoughts. Oh well I'll take what I can get.
