We spent three nights in Mumbai to recover from the jet lag and to take in some of the great architecture Mumbai has to offer.

Mumbai was not at all what we expected. The air was clean and crisp, there was hardly any traffic and what traffic there was only used the horn where it would be deemed appropriate. This was combined with an almost complete absence of mustaches in men over 30 to leave us both a little disorientated. 

We spent some time taking in Mumbai's sites' and markets before getting an 11 hour train south to the beach resort of Mandrem.
