Where I stayed

We arrived in to KL on Friday evening, and our room seemed fine on inspection. It was only when we were getting ready for bed that we noticed that we shared our window with a karaoke bar. Maybe it was some sort of deaf persons singing club, as it sounded absolutely terrible and incredibly loud. We asked the manager when it would stop and he informed us it was only open to 3am. So it was clear we needed to change hotels.

We then checked in to a much quieter hotel nearby and were shown our new room. The new place was nice but the new room was so small that there was not enough room to lay both our bags flat on the floor! But we were happy to sacrifice space for a little peace and quiet and ensured that we had stayed in the nosiest and smallest room of our trip so far in the past  60minutes.

Apart from complaining about hotel rooms during our three nights, we visited the famous KL twin towers and explored the city on foot.

We stayed in China town and took advantage of all of the tasty street food available there, and stocked up on pirate DVDs. From KL we took a 1 hour flight across the Malacca strait to Indonesia, and landed in to Medan the largest city on the island of Sumatra.
