Unfortunately the bedbugs of Jodphur's Cosy Guesthouse infested my sleeping bag before setting off to Jaisalmer.

I only noticed the bites (mainly on my back) when I arrived in to Jaislamer, and after one night the number of bites on my back and shoulders had climbed from 35 to 75, and it was quite clear that they were in my sleeping bag and a wash was in order.

After the wash the biting stopped but not before the little bastards inflicted somewhere in the region of 120 to 150 bites across my body. Almost as shocking as the number of bites that I received was the fact that Charlie wasn't bitten once!

There are two main attractions in Jaislamer the fort and the desert. Although the fort may not have been as impressive as the fort at Jodphur, it contained a living city within the walls which gave it a different kind of feel, and it was nice wandering around its tight little alley's. To see the desert we ventured out on camel back and enjoyed an evening with dinner on the dunes.

Whilst in Jaisalmer we experienced a taste of Holi festival which commences on the 8th. The festival is to celebrate the beginning of Spring and seems to consist of everybody running around throwing fluorescent colours on each other. Although, because the 8th is only around the corner some people have already started and it really helps to build the anticipation.

From Jaisalmer we took a 14 hour bus to Jaipur to celebrate Holi festival on the 8th. The journey was pretty awful, the bus had clearly never been cleaned, with filth and rotting food everywhere, and the driver then packed the aisles full of more people to make a little extra money.
