Where I stayed

Another three nights were spent in Jodpur as we decided to take things a little slower until we were both recovered from our bout of diarrhea.

Once better we were both very impressed with Jodhpur. The city is 500 years old and dominated by its central fort which sits raised 50 meters above the city. The city itself is painted in a 100 different shades of sky blue to create a remarkable setting.

A day was spent taking in the fort whilst doing the expensive but enjoyable audio tour, and the other shopping for pirate DVDs in the local market. The pirate DVDs have become useful since Mum and Dad visited in South Africa and brought with them a portable DVD player as a Christmas present. And although the Genres' on sale have been a little limited (only actions films and pornography) it has made traveling infinitely easier, and at 6 for 30p not too hard on the bank balance.

From Jodhpur we took a 6 hour bus to Jaisalmer, with the journey flying by as we were entertained by the antics and near misses of John McClane in "Die Hard" & "Die Hard 2: Die Harder".
