Fort Cochin is a very old coastal town which has belonged to the Dutch, Portuguese and British over the years. Becasue of this there is some really nice architecture, and we spent two days exploring the different areas of the town.

Fort Cochin also has its own Jewish area "Jewtown". Whilst in Jewtown we came across a spice trader who was either very ignorant, or who had a very twisted sense of humour - see photo below.

From Fort Cochin we took a 12 hour bus ride to the birthplace of my grandmother - Bangalore.
