Hola...Feliz ano nuevo.....

So, here it is 2010. We spent new years eve in splendid company at the "Shandon Bells" drinking and dancing the Old Year out and the New Year in. The night started off fairly slow, picking up pace as the countdown to midnight approached.

Barry and Ziggy A.K.A. Diamond Jack kept us all suitably entertained playing a varied selection of music with a real "cockney Knees up" after midnight. Rounded off as you would expect in an Irish Bar with an Irish set. Strictly bump dancing put in another appearance with Amanda in her sparkly New Years outfit stealing the show....

Alice, Gary and Linda worked their socks off behind the bar keeping the "Libations" flowing freely.
Midnight brought a Champagne celebration followed by a cracking firework display in the Plaza (Villa-Martin.)

Full praise has to go to the Landlady Linda, for providing the masks, streamers and party regalia...not to mention...the excellent Irish Stew which we were gratefully stuffing our faces with at 2.00am.

Got back home and collapsed into bed (we think) about 3.30am....a great night....

New years day...Where's the Resolve?. Unfortunately Lucy does not respect a man and his hangover...still had to get up at the usual time for her morning ablutions...Amanda reminding me "Lucy is Your dog"...No rest for the wicked and I must have been really bad!

Spent a lovely afternoon on the beach sunbathing and paddling we weren't brave enough to join the New Year day swimmers...BRRR! ...La Mar es mucho frio!

Tapas and beer to finish off the afternoon at La Mirada...Though it didn't quite compare to last nights Irish stew...Happy New Year...
