Another day. Still no sign of the electric being switched back on. Waited for the promised 24 hours and then called Iberadola again...OH NO!..They say they can't find any record of the payment...After a while it turns out that we have been given the wrong reference number to quote on the fax...AGHHH!.. Now that's been established we ask "How long before we're back on?"... "Within 24 hours" came the now standard reply...Well this is Spain and everything happens Manana so what did we expect?
Another cold shower and ready to go out with the fading light...Amanda had to go to the hairdresser this afternoon as she could no longer stand not being able to do her hair!
We're going to treat ourselves to one of our favorite Restaurants "The Square" that should cheer us up...Well that's our excuse anyway.
Walking home bathed in the after-glow of an excellent meal and a nice bottle of red at The Square, followed by a few Guinness's and entertaining company at The Shandon Bells, we can see our house in the distance...How much have we had to drink?..Are we seeing things?..No we're not..What light from yonder window breaks?...We've been re-connected!...As the good book says: And the Lord said; "Let there be light"...Well the man from Iberadola did anyway.
