Not very much to say about Matara except it's a filthy hole of a town that really has very little going for it... maybe nothing. i come here to use the internet and for some shopping and, of course, rice and curry. i th9nk it may be the High Wycombe of Sri Lanka (apologies to those who live in High Wycombe, but really, it's your own choice).
