Left Anaheim at 11am and did the 90 miles south to San Diego in 90 minutes. Dumped bags at hotel and went for a walk around the port. Couldn't resist the tour of the massive aircraft carrier USS Midway - a floating museum full of planes.Got back to room for about 6.30 and the girls soon found the nearest Hollister which we then had to visit in the car. Anyway we all got T shirts and hoodies then back to hotel. Took a tour of Little Italy in the dark and found the Buon Apetito restaurant which Siby had found on the web before we left England. It was delicious (linguine with prawns and scallops for me, angel hair pasta for Caitlin, Italian sausage with ear shaped pasta for Siby, and a crab claw with pasta for Helen) and I washed mine down with a Moretti 'La Rossa' (7.2% alc). End of a fine day.
