Got tube into the city - the girls got seats but I stood to mind the cases.
We stayed on to Kings Cross where H decided we should walk to Euston rather than lug our cases onto another busy tube for the one stop on Northern Line.Big mistake! We got absolutely soaked in a sudden torrential downpour on Euston Rd.I had to get changed in the bog at Euston but was worth the 30p charge.
Grabbed a quick butty then on 2.40 train to Manchester which was on time.
Tried to go the toilet as we approached Manchester but as I opened the electonic door a bloke was already on it - dozy sod hadn't locked the door by pressing the button! He even attempted to get up to close it- not a nice sight but very funny!
Cab home from Piccadilly with cases lodged in an open boot but they stayed in. Doormat full of junk mail mostly.
