(2 December 2006 - 9 December 2006)
150kms south of Exmouth is Coral Bay.  Coral bay is leased from the government is a 50 year lease and can accommodate 3000 beds and they pump their own water bore water and decellinate it for drinking purposes and use it for showering and washing as is.  We were able to get a caravan site no problem for one week and we relaxed under some shady trees.  The best shady area we have seen for a while.  The water was once again crystal clear and full of coral and marine life and there were glass bottom boats available for hire and lots of fishing trips to go out on and the fish that they were bringing in, looked great.
Peter and Andrea arrived on Tuesday 5 December 2006 after seeing her father off at the Airport and we spent some quiet days at Coral Bay.  We went for a sightseeing 4wd adventure on a sandy track along the coastline and we went for a drive to find 4 mile beach 40 kms out but could not find the turn off.
The vibe is chilled out and the local fishermen don't mind stopping for a yarn
We got some great views from the lookouts and we feasted at the tavern on our last night at Coral Bay.
Ashley and Leanne went to Coral Bay with us, but they left after two days in search of a doctor at Carnarvon.  We were hoping to catch up with them for Christmas and enjoy the festive season with them.
