Today was Sunday, which meant the weekend, which meant going to Manly Beach to look at the markets, surf beach and 'scenery'.
Manly is quite like Bondi in a way, pretty busy, full of surf shops...
... At this point I digress. Lots of surf shops, all with lots of clothes. Most of these clothes are really cool over here & look good on people, but I know that if I got any of them, as soon as they come on to UK soil they will just look chav. It's really sad, because they aren't chav at all here. It's a very fine line in these shops - buy something & you'll either look like a new member of the now-disbanded 'Birkdale Village Possy' (though these clothes are 'pretty-boy chav', rather than 'chav-chav'. I could go on for hours, but I'll stop now. Basically it's bloody difficult to buy clothes here because of this bloody fine line!!
Back to today, I bought some board-shorts to go with my thongs, so I'm pretty much complete apart from the accent, obviously.
We had a cracking sandwich from Phuel - a little sandwich bar on the main stretch - for our lunch, and a really nice Chinese meal in a restaurant on Circular Quays which looked straight out onto Sydney Harbour Bridge.
