We woke up at 5:30am ready to be picked up by our guide. Brad was late as usual because he spent most of the morning preening himself & sorting out his brochures (for his scrap book) into some kind of random order. When we did leave we met Dave, who was our guide, 2 chav boys, who actually turned out to be really cool people as we got to know them throughout the day. There were also a couple of Americans called Brian and Galan - Galan works for the company that made Robots, Ice Age 1 & 2 as an animator, so Thom spent most of the day talking to him about 'refresh rates' and other geek terminology....

Our first stop was a little walk at Rainbow Valley, which was just some nice rocks really. The flies were really bad, as you'll be able to tell by Brad's back. I think I'll get the fly net out of my bag for tomorrow because Thom swallowed 2 & found one in my nose when we were back in the bus. They're perfectly harmless, but bloody annoying!!

After that we had lunch at a road station called Jim's Place, home of (apparently) the world famous Dinky the Dingo. It was quite embarrassing really. Basically, right, this guy has befrieded a dingo, and keeps him tied up in his house all day long. Whenever his daughters used to practice the piano this stupid thing would climb up on the piano and start to howl. He got a girl out from the audience, and she played some notes on the piano, and surely enough he started "singing" along.

After "The Desecration of the Piano Ceremony" we drove to King's Creek Cattle Station, where we were camping for the night. Me and Brad decided we were going to swag it, even though it looked like it might rain, and Thom went for the traditional tent. You can find out later if we got soaked or not, saying as Thom only had space for 1 of us in his tent.

It was here that me and Brad came up with "Swag Slag". The idea is that we're sleeping in as many swags as possible in the 3 nights (i.e. 3 swags!), and so we think we can call ourselves slags. We're going to get t-shirts made up in Cairns, so stay tuned for the pictures of them!
