We were supposed to get up early this morning, but... some of us were up very, very early. I was downstairs by 04:15 and Shaun, Faye & Daisy were already up and out to Walmart for goodies! Once we get everyone else up it's off by 06:20 to the Crystal River for our swimming with the manatees with Capt. Mike's "Sunshine River Tours"... Had a good drive up there, and stopped a mile from our destination for some breakfast, and rushed to Pete's Pier only to find that we didn't need to be there for another 45 minutes or so...!!!

The first bit of real entertainment was to see everyone coming out of the changing rooms in their wet suits... speechless...!!! In some cases they certainly fitted where they touched...!!! I, of course, wimped out because of my water issues, but enjoyed the trip nontheless for that. The first attempt for them in the water was a bit of a failure, as the manatee definitely did not want to play, but the following attempts were a huge success with three or four of them happy to hang out with their floating visitors. Shaun managed to get some great underwater photos and a couple of excellent videos too.

After everyone had dried off and got changed we hit the road and opted to have lunch at a Golden Corral that we'd passed on the way in the morning. Turned out to be a good call as we all had more than our fill of the amazing buffet spread. From there he headed for SeaWorld and had our first ride on "Manta", even Elaine joined us as promised, whoopin' and a hollerin' all the way round... an amazing 'coaster...!!! Straight off of that and on to "Atlantis", and we all got soaked. As the weather was in the high eighties we soon dried off luckily. Next it was the turn of "Kraken", this time though Elaine was strangely silent... yep, I said silent...!!! She still didn't talk after getting off the ride, in fact it was some little while before she uttered anything at all, eventually saying "I can't believe nobody told me what it was like on that ride"... normal service was soon restored however... all good things come to an end they say! We checked out some of the animal attractions after Kraken and finished the day off with a trip up "Sky Tower", to get a 300 foot high view out over Orlando as the sun was going down. Our final destination after Sea World was a quickish visit to Walmart for some supplies. Tomorrow we intend going to Islands of Adventure to see Harry and his buddies.

Footnote: This GT500 is awsome (as they say over here!), shame I can't really use it to it's full potential because of the low speed limits over here, but pulling away from the lights and toll booths has been fun a few times. The noise it makes when all the 420 bhp is put to use is pure music...!!!
