As with most holidays, we hit New York with high expectations, though we expected the people there to be a little more 'brash' than those Americans we'd met on our previous trips to the holiday Sunshine State of Florida. Well, how wrong were we...?
Although life in the city was, to say the least, a little more frenetic than that in Orlando, the New Yorkers were great, (nearly) always polite, friendly and helpful. On more than one occasion we had someone stop and ask us if we needed any help while checking our map when we were out and about. Those scary NYPD cops were anything but, we even spent about ten minutes talking to one of them about the many US cop TV series we watch, and he even suggested we check out one we haven't seen yet...!!!
The sights were everything we thought they'd be, but nothing prepares you for the hustle and bustle of Times Square at night, or the sad serenity of Ground Zero.
So, thank you New York and thank you New Yorkers for making our time there an amazing, never to be forgotten, experience!

To all the people out there in cyberland who are thinking of visiting New York... Stop the thinking, bite the bullet, and do it. This city is not to be missed, and you will not regret your decision.
