These past few days I've been working 9-10 hour days in the sweltering heat of Biddiddaba. I'm so exhausted at the end of the day that I have seriously considered moving on from the stud earlier than expected. I started by slashing all the paddocks in the first two days followed by mowing and whipper snipping the main property which, took another full day and a half. The arrangement seems to work out well if the work was for less hours and if I wasn't working beyond the farm work.

The family is very open minded and are very hospitable. Dinner is a comedic affair with language only found in the Domen household back home. (For those who haven't experienced it watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back)

The weather here is humid one second and then a torrential downpour the next. I haven't had the time to take pictures of the property but it is absolutely gorgeous. We are at the base of a small mountain surrounded by other larger mountains and, you can see the weather roll over the hills from miles away. I will post pictures when I get the chance but i feel they wont do justice to just how amazing the sights and sounds are. Kangaroos are everywhere and, as I'm working in paddocks, they seem to have a curiosity as to what I'm doing, They will sit there staring at me for ages.

The wildlife in general is different as the birds are much more vibrant, and the insects on a larger scale than back home. At night numerous stars appear as we are way beyond any city lights. Currently the cockatoos are migrating through the area so they can be seen around mid day grabbing a drink from the small ponds left from the storms the night before.

This evening we are celebrating their daughter, Lizzy's, eighteenth birthday with around 40 guests and a DJ. Something I feel I have to attend more than want to. Something about a bunch of drunk eighteen year olds just doesn't seem like my favorite Friday activity anymore.

As my jobs will probably include the same mundane things over and over again I will only update this blog as I feel something of importance comes up. If not I will at least try and throw something quick in with a few pictures every few days. Comments are more than welcome as it also lets me know whose actually reading this crap......  Peace
