Flew back to Florida from Jamaica to start work on a boat bound for the Bahamas.  Spent 3 weeks in a marina at Fort Pierce, Florida waiting for repairs to transmission.  Lots of Manatees (like dugongs), dolphins swimming past.  The boat is 70ft Azimut power boat with 4 ensuite rooms, lounge, dining room, small galley, fridges, freezers, ice machine, top deck with spa and bbq.

Owners have a lot of apartment complexes that they own and manage.  Dog is 'Kendall Jackson', (named after wine), 11 yr old chocolate labrador X.  Other crew is Buddy, engineer/deckhand, ex-US Coast Guard.  We finally left Fort Pierce and drove 12 hrs at around 10 knots over to Freeport, Bahamas.  Picked up 2 guests and cruised around the Berry Islands for a few days.

The Bahamas are georgeous, white sand, pale blue crystal clear shallow waters.  I don't know if there is clearer water anywhere else in the world, it's pristine.  Good snorkelling and diving in places.  We have caught a few lobster and fish .. yum.

The owners fly in and out from Florida averaging week on / week off, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, sometimes with friends or family.  Dog stays on the boat.  My job is stewardess, cook, deckhand, fixing things, walking the dog, anything and everything really .. usually all at once !!  Very busy when owners on board, they are hyperactive, never a dull moment. Drinking wine and going fast!  They are nice enough and include us in most things, snorkelling, boat trips, drinks, showing us the sights.  Bit more chilled when they are away, still plenty to do, as well as explore the surroundings.

Not a bad office :)  ....
