We started off the day with a cold 6.30am demo at a plasterboard supply warehouse facility.
Afternoon allowed for some seeing of Atlanta city sights, including government headquarters, Olympic torch site, Turner Field (home of the Atlanta Braves baseball team), Peachtree Road, Fox Theatre, etc.
Night-time was a real treat, as I was very kindly invited to join my hosts' weekly family gathering, this week also being to celebrate a birthday....as I was by now suffering from a fair dose of home-sickness, a family atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered, and I had an absolute ball, entertaining all & sundry with our downunder 'accent'
What struck me all of this trip across the southern states was the amazing friendliness of the people in general......strangers would literally dip their hat to me on the many times we passed one another while entering or exiting a store! Can't praise the people enough for their warmth, & hospitality.
I would not hesitate to bring my family back here for a holiday!
