so the past two days have been really decent here. the hostel's been fairly quiet until this afternoon, which is always nice, cause you feel like you actually have some space of your own to move around in.
yesterday morning/early afternoon I spent doing a bone carving. it's a Maori tradition, but obviously I'm not anywhere near as skilled as someone whose been doing it for years. my necklace still turned out really nice, and it's got a great meaning behind it. check out the pictures for that

today.. found a zoo! well, like small animal park. haha but it's called a zoo anyhow. and I was excited over that. and I pet a sheep! .. although I think it was hungry... still counts!

good past few days. going downtown after my shift tonight. pictures from that to come.

That bone carving is really neat. You continue to smile in your pictures so it's obvious you're having a good time. Just think of us with the leaving changing and temperatures dropping...
I miss you but it does me good to see you looking so happy.
