Parked the car in Fusia and took the passenger ferry over to Venice. It's difficult to describe Venice to anyone who's never been there.......the place is so unique, the canals, the incredulous architecture, St Mark's Square, the Basillica, Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge, the Gondolas, the price of a coffee in St Mark's Sq,.....
Worthwhile taking the 'fast boat' around the canals, No 4 we think, which goes up the grand canal to the station and round the 'ourside'. A single day isn't enough here by far, too much to see and explore. Didn't have time to visit Murano.....there's gotta be a next time for Venice.
Homeward bound soon :-(
