Early start and on the road again. Popped into Modena, which was open today and found a fab market to buy supplies of ham, cheese and vinegar.
Took the roads north up past Verona and up to Lake Garda. Being on holiday we'd totally missed the fact that the weekend was almosty upon us, and being still summer time the Lakes are packed with cars and people, and not too many sites with spaces. So had to head further inland from LG and up to a small village whose name now escapes us - but site called Casa Vecchio. Nice little site, again private with own pool. Downside, however, barking dogs, rain, crying babies and an unforgettable church bell which chimes on the hour and the half hour, every day and every hour.
It's cold here and wearther also a bit damp - actualy soaking. We had to go an find a superstore to go an buy a sleeping bag and blanket to supplement what we already had. Never mind soon off the Venecia :-)
