Can you believe that the campsite from hell, as per previous entry, stung us the princely sum of Eu42 per night for the privaledge!£$%&!

Day 1
Anyway happier times to follow.....in the land of Balamico, Parma ham, parmesano and oh, Ferrari. Found a cracking little campsite about an hour from Modena, called Ecociocciola - roughly translated as 'snail'. Fab wee sopt up in the hills this it's own pool and a few pitches and chalets. Site restaurant fab, and the whole place owned by a guy called Ottevio who's spent some time in Nepal - so Nepalese curry can occaisionally be found on the menu. Local wine is a type of lambrusco called Barbera - not to everyone's taste as it can be a little sweet but totally authentic when accompanied by the best tortelloni (or was it totellini?) we've ever tasted cooked in italian butter and herbs :-)

Day 2
Off to Modena for the day to do some shopping in sightseeing. It was a thursday - and thursday is half day closing in Modena - talk about good planning!!!!! So decided that the next best thing is to head out for Marinello and Galleria Ferrari. After a look round the Galleria, we heard the sound of the F1s doing some circuits on the track so headed off to find a viwinf spot through the fence. Even after having been to a GP before, the sound from the cars is still awesome. One day.....ahh.

Headed back to catch some sun at the Snail place, but got caught in a mega thunderstorm (again - there's a recurring theme here). Slightly damp night, and time to go again. Short tour of the Squash plants, marrows, and the new honeymoon suit before departing. This place is definately a big recommend!!
