Time to check into a hotel.....not much in the way of campsites in Monaco!! Drove from Nice over the Grande Corniche and then down the hairpin bends into Monaco and booked into hotel in Beausoleil just on the outskirts of Monaco. What a place to drive out in! Mostly one way streets and again busy. Managed to get ourselves lost in Casino Square and then down onto the seafront under the tunnel. Usual gin palaces in the marina and D list euro celebs waiting on cars on the steps of The Hotel de Paris....Q. Why do so many tourists wait for so long lokking at the steps of this hotel on the off chance that they see someone who looks like they might be somebody....but never see anyone that they actually recognise!! Time for a nice bottle of chilled wine...seeing as we haven't had a fridge to keep any cool in for the last week! Dinner in the Miramar restaurant on day one.

Day 2: Walked up into Monaco Ville and round the palace, cathedral and gardens. Great views over the whole Principality, and saw the graves of Princes Grace and Prince Reinier. Dinner that evening was in the Rasscasse restaurant and bar followed by a tour of the Salvador Dali exhibition in the Monte Carlo Casino.

Day 3: time to go again......but before we leave, an early start and time to drive the Grand Prix circuit in the Porsche...Sadie taking some film as we go, I think that we got up as fast as about 50km before having to stop for mopeds, pedestrians and oh some cars. Not really the same effect and F1. check out the Gallery on the web sit for some film and pictures.
