As you can tell by the title it rained most of the day so we were limited in what we could accomplish on the job site. We did get some bad news today and that was we will not be going to the resort on the ocean for the weekend. It appears there is a tropical depression that could develop into tropical storm on Fri/Sat and that the waves were crashing at the resort from 15-20 ft.
Anyway, I think they are being overly cautious but understand that they are looking out for the safety of the team. I hope that the weather does not cause us a delay in our travels home on Sunday.
Tomorrow we leave Santa Ana after a half day of work and then head to San Salvador (capitol) for the weekend. We will tour a historic colonial town and traditional markets on Saturday. As for today we left the site early and were taken to some Santa Ana points of interest. We toured the Theatre of Santa Ana and the Cultural Arts Center of Santa Ana. Both were very grand buildings with unique architecture in the middle of the city. We also toured a very large Catholic church (main religion of El Salvador).
For dinner we went to a steak house that reminded me of being in the United States. It was huge and I wondered to myself were the clientele was to support a facility like this. Again, as noted in earlier posts it was a strange dynamic/contrast as to why we are here and some of the places we attend. I guess it may be as simple as they want to treat us as special visitors to their city.
Anyway, sorry for being short Internet stinks tonight.
