Also to start my diving training, I need to buy some basic dive gear.
Since I will be on Lembongan for 6 weeks, I decided to stop by a grocery store today to buy some groceries and "real" size toiletries instead of travel sizes. I gotta say, being in a grocer was SO exciting! It's been a long while since I walked through aisles in a proper grocery store.
I was happy to buy some fresh fruit but it cost a fortune!! 2 apples cost me $3.5! Earlier in the day, I paid $5 for a doctor checkup.
One hour Balinese massages can also be received for $5. I think I will get one tomorrow before the real work begins :-)
Last night, I found a very clean, nice dormitory for $10 with great Internet connection. But the dorms were booked for tonight so I was asked to move to a private room for $30/night. Luckily, a boy from France, Julian, was also getting booted out so we decided to split the accommodation. Then a few minutes later, I was approached by a German girl to split a room with her - she was also losing her dorm bed for the night. Julian and I invited her to stay with us since they had extra cots that can be added into the room. She was so grateful :)
Hey, we gotta look out for each other! I've been cared for by other travelers in the past. Time to pay it forward.
Now another bad news...I lost my camera. Officially this time. I am so upset!! But I can only blame myself for being irresponsible. This is why I am also done with constant moves. Packing/unpacking every other day is such a bitch. I'm surprised I've come this far in my trip without losing anything!
And bad news for you is that I won't be posting many pics from this entry forward...just the ones I take with my iPhone now. Camera is not on my shopping list. I have other priorities now ;)
