The water falls consist of 7 tiers that are located across a distance of 2000m (1.2 miles). I had believed that Erawan was one fall, consisting of 7 tiers. But in reality, there are many falls, each one beautiful in its own way. There was a considerable amount of hiking and climbing involved between each fall, which I didn't expect. It took me 1 hr and 40 min to reach the last tier (3 hrs round trip).
Trying to avoid the tourist crowd, I took the first bus at 8am. By the time we arrived at 9:30, there were already bus loads of tourists there. As you look at each of the pictures, I want you to appreciate how long I had to wait for the tourist(s) to clear out of my camera screen to get that shot! ;).
Of course it was unavoidable in some shots.
Between the 3 hr bus ride, the jungle hike, and dodging tourists, this day turned out to be quite an exhausting day. But very much worth it!
