Travel visa for the Philippines - check.
7 month supply if malaria pills - check.
Prescription strength anti-diarrheal pills - check.
6 vaccinations including (hep A, hep B, typhoid, polio, Tetanus, Japanese Encephalitis) -check.
Passport - check.
Credit cards (no foreign transaction fee), ATM (no international fee), and cash - check.

I have 2 days left at work and just 6 days left in the US before the flight!
I have completed my major to-do-list above but I also had SO many little things to do like downloading enough media on my iPad mini, purchasing international SIM card, unlocking my iphone, changing home address in all my bank/credit card accounts, photo-copying all my IDs and financial statements and emailing it to self as well as my entrusted best friend, uploading my entire life to a cloud storage, etc etc etc

Backpack contents!

! What a busy few weeks I've had.
I am sure I'm over-preparing myself but one can never be too prepared when going on an open-ended trip!

My backpack is also stuffed with all the goodies I can ever need, thanks to an infinite amount of information and resources available online on round-the-world travels. There are so many things I would never have thought to take with me like a headlamp, a combination lock, or waterproof seal-bag for my electronics!
At times like this I am thankful for my obsessive research skills :-P.

Considering that I had only 3 months to prepare for this trip, I think I did pretty damn good given that I also sold/donated 90% of my belongings and moved out of apartment during this time!
