We took the ferry into Boston for the last time this morning. Our City Pass booklets included admission to the New England Aquarium and it was easy to access right at the wharf so we decided we would go. Being Florida people we weren't all that excited but I guess it had been a while since we had been to Sea World or an aquarium because we had an especially good time. We really enjoyed seeing a green sea turtle (BIG rascal) and an octopus and some beautiful tropical fish. The jellyfish tanks were rather mesmerizing, as well.
After watching the seal show, we ambled over to the Chart House for lunch. It was very handy and we had such a great experience there a few days earlier. We had iced tea (What? No Sam Adams?!) John had fish and chips which were quite delicious---he shared. But I ordered the "Chili Ahi Tuna" sandwich and it was amazing! The waitress recommended to have it cooked medium. It was perfect! We were a little surprised the chef came to our table to apologize for taking so long to prepare it. We told him it was well worth waiting for and we had a chance to tell him how much we had enjoyed our two meals there. It was a wonderful end to our Boston experience!
Back to the Constitution Inn to call a taxi, get our luggage and head to Logan Airport. We got there a couple of hours ahead of our flight. No problem---I had my book and John, his computer. The plane took off a little before the scheduled time. Farewell, Boston! You're a grand old city!
Our neighbor, Jean, picked us up at the airport. We were probably home before 8 PM and it felt FINE!
