Our program ends today. How very sad! The national parks were awesome but our trip is not over. Las Vegas, here we come! By 7:30 we had eaten breakfast and had our luggage out. The bus trip to Vegas was uneventful and we arrived at McCarran Airport about 11:30 AM. We didn't have much trouble getting a Grey Line shuttle to the Treasure Island, which hereafter will be called the TI as that is how it is known to the locals. There was a "small" problem with a piece of luggage which had to be resolved. I'll not go into that! We thought we would have a few hours to kill before we could check in but our room was ready. Hallelujah! The room was quite nice with some amenities we had not seen in the past week but missing a couple we had----coffee pot, for example.
We went to Gilley's in the TI and shared an appetizer sampler and draft beers. Then we walked over to the Venetian Hotel---what an amazing place that is! We ended up at Otto, a Mario Batale restaurant there in the hotel. We ordered pizza (mediocre) and wine (expensive) and were quite disappointed.
In the evening we saw "Mystere," the Cirque Show at the TI. Wow factor VERY high! Loved it!
