Where I stayed
-Hebrews 12:22 (NIV)
As we loaded the bus after breakfast we realized quickly: we brought way too much luggage! And we will be doing this at least 3 more times. Much of the morning was spent on the bus but the scenery was beautiful and we stopped at a couple of Visitor Centers to browse and stretch our legs.We had a nice lunch at the Majestic View Lodge, where we would be staying the next two nights.
After lunch we headed into Zion National Park, where we were met by a thunderstorm. So much for our hike to the Emerald Pools! Plan B was a stop at the Zion National Park Visitor Center where we saw an interesting film about the park.
We checked into our room with about an hour and a half until dinner. The Majestic View Lodge is not just a hotel. It is also billed as Steakhouse and Saloon, Trading Post, Native American Art and Wildlife Museum.
Dinner was fair but dessert was better. David lectured on the geological formation of Zion after dinner.
