Yes, Bulgarians do need visa for Vietnam. Note to self - never make plans based on a phone conversation. For example, if the Vietnamese consulate in the UK tells you that you don't need a visa - get one any ways. Not a biggy. Almost any problem can be solved with throwing money at it. Quick dash to the Vietnamese consulate in Singapore. 4 hours and S$200 later, I'm on a plane to Sigon (S$250 for a new ticket).
Love it here though. Vietnamese people are chiled and smile a lot. No sence of self pitty or complaint about the not so distant and really horrible past. They are moving forward. Respect!
No-one has heard about Bulgaria. Disapointing. What about our shared commy backgrownd? How can you forget so quickly!?

Vietnam
i'm from HCMC. happy to know that you had a good trip to Vietnam. it seems almost all tourists feel strange about traffic in Vietnam and the way we dress when going outside as well. a little bit weird hah? did you find the reason why we dress like that?
don't feel disappointed because noone know about Bulgaria. we do know your country but people you met don't know the name of your country in English. in Vietnamese, your country name written like this: Bungary.
if you have chance, come back to Vietnam.
