Sad day for my travels in New Zealand. I'm dropped off Gosha and Wojtec, my super-duper polish travel buddies. We traveled together for a few days and had a great laugh. I dropped them off literally at the end of the road near Glenorchy from where they will continue to their 3 day Routenburg track. I don't have time to trek around if I want to cover it all. Gosha and Wojtec are by the way keen trekkers that have also been in Bulgaria. To be honest, they definitely knew more about Bulgarian mountains than I did, so now I'm thinking, my trip should really end with some top notch trekking in Bulgaria - it is just as good as in New Zealand, except there are less people. Gosha and Woytec said that they rarely saw any Bulgarian trekkers in Bulgaria - mostly Germans and Eastern Europeans. What can I say - the most popular outdoors sport in Bulgaria is coffee drinking at the outdoor cafes.
