[M] I've been terribly remiss in writing of late - and I do promise to get better at that. Truth told, there's been a lot of activity in life of late, and we've been without internet for the better part of the last month.

Fortunately, we're back online, even had cable hooked up in time to catch the Superbowl...gotta love the globalization of American football....regret we only caught up to Madonna's show, but that was grand...it makes it feel a little bit more like home to have some of the rituals of American culture still permeate our lives here...

In any case, it's been a whirlwind of a month. We had four major events happen...1) we found a forever home for Cassie (aka Vesper) the gorgeous tri-colour mongrel...she is now called Puk and is living on DB with a fantastic Flemish family...we had been en route to the adoption event at Whiskers 'N Paws when we were approached by a sweet 12 year old girl who wanted to meet her. Although Cassie was a big hit at the adoption event, we "reserved" her for the young girl and her family...it was heartbreaking to pass her over to her new family as I'd grown very attached to her...but it was the right thing to do. I've gained tremendous respect for Sally and Maria and the team at Hong Kong Dog Rescue...it really is a vocation to foster and dedicate such time and love to these four-pawed ones...

2) I started a short term consultative role...it's interesting and engaging, but I'm not sure I can turn it into a full-time gig, so it's paying the bills and keeps me in work-mode...

3) I've also been interviewing with some frequency...and have been lucky enough to land my first offer...a GM role running 4 offices in China...it's a phenomenal opportunity, and had it been based here in HK, I would have accepted it...but it's based in Shanghai, and we're really not of the mind to move to Shanghai right now...which leads me to probably the biggest news of late...

4) we've moved to Mui Wo! It was an easy and difficult decision to make in so many respects...although DB is lovely and convenient, it's always felt a little strange. It's a dramatic leap of faith to leave the nest and start anew somewhere, especially when so much rests on my finding a new job...but being the adventurous souls that we are, well, we jumped all in...It has been a crazy, chaotic few weeks - but we're finally through the last box, the cable has been set up...and we've unpacked all the boxes...

so here's a little peak into the new place...we've lot of rooms for guests and are so very happy planting some roots in this lovely little village...
