Woke up early..well not as early as 4:30 am for my morning walk around the city like the other days..but 5 am nevertheless to head to the airport for our departure to Cambodia. Had a quick check in and a blazing fast security check at what I consider the best airport in the world I've been to in the world..this being Changi Singapore Airport. They have so many things to do and see while waiting for your plane...almost to the point of being ridiculous...but I'm not complaining. It was a short 2 hour flight to Siem Reap, where we were greeted to the heat. It's hot here, but not an Egyptian kind of hot though.
Our driver took us to the hotel (Angkor Century), about a 10 minute drive from the airport and checked us in and gave us direction for the next couple days. I booked a cruise for my birthday to see the locals and the beautiful countryside of Cambodia. Today though was just a relax day. We had a couple beers and walked the grounds, later topped it off with a dip in the large pool.

We stayed at the hotel for dinner and I ordered the Malaysian Prawn and noodle dish. Was delicious! Carol ordered some type of curry dish..which she wasn't to hot on..but ate most of it anyway. Dessert was a banana sundae...very good as well.
The lightning is creating quite a light show right now...must be far way since I can't hear any thunder
