USA women had a tough game against Russia last night (or this morning or whenever you all saw it)........... but at least you saw it.   We are here .. in Beijing... at the team hotel...........  and it was not on TV here.    We heard rumors in the bar that it was a one-point game at halftime.   Then we found the final score on the internet. 

Tomorrow night the women play Australia for the gold. Had a nice chat with Sue Bird this afternoon.  She said they do not match up well against the Aussies -- that they beat them by only  4 points earlier this year in a very tough game. 

Despite all the bragadoccio about the USA  teams coming home with two gold medals, it remains far from a sure thing.    Both teams have tough  match=ups in front of them
