Another day, another sun filed sky, another beautiful beach.
We awake to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing along and shorelines and the rustling of the palm trees outside our cabana. Without much on the agenda for the day we lie in bed a little longer and relax. Which pretty much sums up the rest of our day. A leisurely breakfast of coffee, toast and eggs. Followed by a long walk across a deserted beach. Then it's back to our hotel to
lay about and catch up on some reading.
Soon enough it's time for lunch. Followed my more relaxing and a little more reading. Eventually we start to feel restless and decide to take out one of the kayaks offered by our resort and explore the nearby lagoon. We soon discover that the lagoon is much larger than we expected and our little trip turns into a fun filled adventure. Paddling along the mangroves that border the waters edge we spot numerous birds and no less than 5 big monitor lizards.
Unfortunately the sky starts to darken and we hear distant thunder rolling across the sky. We turn our kayak around and make haste to return to our resort. Alas the storm is quicker than our paddling and we find ourselves enveloped in the warm deluge of a tropical storm. Given the location and the temperature, I find that I don't mind being caught out in the rain and we arrive at our resort well soaked and happy about it.
The only other thing on the agenda for today is the special seafood feast we ordered the previous day. Getting giddy with anticipation we shower to wash was off the days heat and get dressed up'is for dinner. We start with a few cocktails and then it arrives, 3 plates loaded with fresh tuna steaks, crab, calamari, shrimp and chips. Eating alfresco ocean side we truly "enjoy food"! Dinner wraps up with an evening cocktail and we retire to our rooms were we gently fall asleep to the rhythmic sounds of tropical paradise.
