I was excited about Manchester when I arrived for my interview, the city had a really good feel...and going to Town Hall for my interview was pretty amazing. Went back to catch up with Jodi after my visit up north, we were on our way to Bath when the the supersexy thing that is our van started to misbehave. We spent all of Saturday trying to find a garage that would work on something so supersexy...and it being so tall not many garages would/could take it into their workshop. So anyway, I ended up hanging out in Swindon for a week waiting for the repair to be done.
Meanwhile I'd been told I had the job in Manchester, so I needed to get my A into G and find myself somewhere to live etc. I hung out at hotels and B&Bs for the first couple weeks then got myself an apartment close to the city centre. Its not the most modern fandangle of an apartment but its 2 bedrooms and I get it to myself.
And thats it really...started working for Manchester City Council at the end of August, and am contracted til the end of April. Eeewww
