Arrived Ko Phangan at night, were taxi'd to Bounty Bungalows. Great little place on the beach front, 300 baht per night for the room (100 baht pp = 3nzd, approx £1), 2 double beds + ensuite, sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
This is the Island that hosts the Full Moon party every month. We're not staying in the town/villiage where thats held, it'll be a small taxi ride on the night. The party's on the 18th this month...and Jodi and I leave to go back to Bangkok on the 19th...hmm, will be interesting.
The weathers nice and mild, our place has its own little restaurant and bar etc...and only a hop, skip and a jump to the sea. Can hear the waves lapping up onto the shore, the sun's about to set for the night...times like this we realise how lucky we are!
We'll hire some scooters and go for a whiz around the island, a little expedition.
Marks birthday so will also check out a bar in the evening. Amsterdam bar just up the road...and up an enormous hill, but that can only mean a great view. So will check that out.

So, scooters were great, found beaches everywhere to swim etc. Went up to the Amsterdam bar, lots of people chilling (became apparent why it had its name), the view was fantastic. Not long til the Full moon, so was quite light throughout the evening. Super.
Staying at the bungalows we have a neighbour who is a little special. I was getting my washing in from our verandah and he was sitting out on the lawn untangling his headphones or something...he just sat and stared at me, then asked me to 'stop doing that, because he was trying to concentrate'. I had a little chuckle and told him I was 'just getting my washing in'...next he wanted to know 'how long I was going to be', he was looking very angry now...ummm'as long as it takes me to get my washing in...(duh)'...i had to laugh while he continued to sit there and stare at me very angrily...whoa...space cadet!

We get cops frequenting our bungalows, sitting down for breakfast etc...checking out the premises etc I guess. Theres a lot of 'smoking' that goes on around the island in public places.
