We went to the Tromso Wilderness Center to see huskies. First we went to a replica of a traditional Sami tent and saw a movie about the Iditarod Dog Sledding race in Alaska. (It re-traces the route taken by Balto, the dog who saved Nome and the people who had diphtheria.)
Then we met huskies. Lots of huskies. My favorites were: Amundsen, Johansen, Maximus, Pepsi, and Sprite. I also got attacked by two called Kanoute and Kyan and almost had my butt bitten badly and then had my trousers attacked by a bunch of puppies.
Katharine and Alex held younger puppies and then everyone went back inside the Sami tent and had milk, tea, coffee, and chocolate coconut cake (which was extremely good). After that..... Alex and I discovered the husky hot tub and Dad, Alex, and I went on a walk and tasted blueberries and cloudberries (I liked cloudberries more J). In all, it was a very nice day.
