Iguazu falls (also spelled Iguassu and Iguacu) are the most beautiful falls in the world. I think everyone who visits there would probably agree with me. It is actually one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. It has a Brazil and Argentina side, and we mostly saw the Argentina side. We walked around the trails for a day. There are some really strange animals in the area, but I'm not sure of the name. They are like little raccoons with long noses to dig out bugs. They're actually the same things we saw in Tikal. The animals were not afraid of us at all. In the food area, they were jumping on peoples tables. We went out with some chips, and as soon as we opened them they were all around us.
We took a short boat tour close to the water falls. We drove right by the falls, in the mist but not under the pouring water. The mist was super thick and we were completely drenched the second we drove into it. We drove briefly under the Brazil side of the falls too. I should've worn my whole swimsuit, but only put on my bottoms. My shirt got soaked. But the ride was super fun and worth the wetness!
We were planning on staying a second day in the falls (on the Brazil side) but because of Carnival, it was super packed. Instead we went to a huge bird park. I'm glad we did instead of waiting an hour in line, and the park was really cool. It's in a seperate entry for pictures.
Anyways, Iguazu falls was super beautiful and breathtaking. If you like waterfalls (and of course you do), you have to visit Iguazu sometime in your life! You'll be amazed by the beauty. And make sure to do the boat ride.
