Having left Italy we needed to have a stop on route to Croatia to break up the journey (and add to our growing tally of countries visited), so we plugged co-ordinates into Joan for Slovenia! The camp site was located in a small town called Ankaran, it did not have a lot there but we were sure it would have been very busy in the high season.

As we were by the beach, after our drive we headed straight for the sea (must have been at least two weeks since we were at the beach!)... Wow, it was a lot colder in the Adriatic than the Med! Lisa as ever was happy with the temperature and had a swim about just fine until she stood on some squidgy mud, that was not to her liking! We did see hermit crab world there, literally hundreds of hermit crabs of all sizes walking around in pools on the beach, I seemed to think this was much more interesting than Lisa and Pops!

That night we had a walk around the town which only seemed to have a couple of bars and a supermarket in it. It did enable me to get a couple of Slovenian beers to add to the beer journal though, both of which were very good! It may have just been an overnight stop in Slovenia but we both said what we saw getting there and heading to Croatia was a very pretty country.
