So we poshed it up a little here. Malandela's was a superb place to stay - it was a B&B with an attached bar and restaurant. It looked out on to vast sugar cane fields with beautiful mountains behind - stunning.
The highlight of the stay was our visit to the Swazi Cultural Village tour. We toured the traditional settlement and were then treated to singing and dancing. KD did a fantastic job entering into the experience - have a look at the picture below - it's a goodie!!!
We visited Swazi Candles cooperative, a weeving cooperative and various other local initatives which were working extremely well with local communities allowing health care and infrastructure reach rural areas.
Having relaxed here for a few days we headed to Sondzela's, a YHA in the middle of a small National Park called Milwane. You are able to walk through the park by yourself as there are no predators. It was a great first introduction to safaris and has got me very excited about the big parks!!
Next stop is a Zulu reunion in Mozambique with Ant, Coz and Luke! Should be a great couple of weeks.
