As I landed in the Joburg airport, I met a man and his daughter that were also going to Cape Town. I decided to tag along with them because I had no idea how I was going to find my way around through customs etc. They led me through immigration and then on through customs. Before we could go through customs, however, we had to wait for our baggage to come so that we could once again recheck it! After emerging from the international section, we were rushed to the domestic part of the airport by a man who helped me cut to the front of the first class line and get a new ticket issued that would allow me to continue to travel with this man and his daughter. Because my plane had been delayed, I would be missing my transportation so I needed a way to get to Carmichael House. The guy offered me a ride, and I decided to accept. On the plane I sat by a Tanzanian and a lady from Cali who talked... a lot!
